Olaf Craft Using Recycled CD

See, I love to recycle. Quite often I will look at a box or a cardboard tube and pictures start popping into my head. So I’m kind of a supply hoarder. I have drawers in my craft room full of cardboard, plastic, and yes, those almost obsolete CDs and DVDs. With all the fun Olaf inspired crafts out there, I knew I could come up with something!

Supplies Needed for CD Olaf craft

Recycled CD/DVD
White and brown felt
Glitter puffy paint or writer paint: black, white, orange
Olaf pattern
White craft Glue
Scissors
Pen

Notes: I used a glitter paint called Craft Twinkles which are available from most craft stores. You can use any glitter paint you want, just look for the kind that have a writer tip on them.

How To Make This Super Cute and Fun Olaf Craft

Step 1

Trace CD onto white felt.

Step 2

Cut out the felt circle and glue it to the CD.

Step 3

Print the pattern and cut out the smile.

Step 4

Trace around the smile onto the white felt.

Step 5

Use black glitter paint to draw the smile and fill it in, leaving the tooth untouched.

Step 6

Cut the eyes and nose from the pattern and trace in onto the felt above the smile.

Step 7

Use orange glitter paint to draw and fill in the nose. Do the eyes, pupils and eyebrows with black. Fill in the tooth, the eyes and the center dot on the pupils with white glitter paint.

Step 9

Cut a few strands of hair out of brown felt, leaving a little tab at the bottom. Add white glue to the tab and stick it the back of the CD.

Step 10

Let the paint dry for a full 24 hours. In some cases, 48 hours may be needed.

Recycled CD Olaf Craft

This Olaf craft is a great Frozen craft, perfect for kids of all ages. Plus you can recycle cd's to make this amazing glitter Olaf craft.

Materials

Recycled CD/DVD
White and brown felt

White craft Glue
Scissors
Pen

Instructions

Trace CD onto white felt.
Cut out the felt circle and glue it to the CD.
Print the pattern and cut out the smile.
Trace around the smile onto the white felt.
Use black glitter paint to draw the smile and fill it in, leaving the tooth untouched.
Cut the eyes and nose from the pattern and trace in onto the felt above the smile.
Use orange glitter paint to draw and fill in the nose. Do the eyes, pupils and eyebrows with black.
