Steps to make your own marble maze

Step 1

First you need to cut away the front panel out of your box so it has four sides and a bottom.

Step 2

Next, tape together or create additional cardboard security so that you have four even sides.  Cover all of the sides in duct tape for decoration.

Step 3

Next cut a piece of construction paper to fit the bottom of the box and glue it in place.

Step 4

Now the fun part: create your maze!

  1. Cut straws to different lengths.
  2. Glue the straw pieces to the bottom of the box. The straws need to be situated far enough away from each other to allow a marble to fit through the spaces and make it all the way to the other end.
  3. Let your little engineer experiment before the glue dries.

Step 5

Let your creating dry and get ready to play…

  • Simply place a marble at one end or corner of your box.
  • Tilt the box to guide the marble through the maze to the other side.
