Here’s how you can make a DIY Hairbow Display.
We had fun as part of our plant theme, making hairbows. Now that we have these lovely hair bows, we need a nice way to “display” them. This DIY craft is super easy to make and takes just a few minutes to put together.

DIY Hairbow Display
This DIY Hairbow Display makes a great homemade gift. It’s so useful and pretty and can be customized to your heart’s content and your kid’s room decoration. My little girl likes hers because it makes getting ready in the morning so much easier. Her hairbows are so easy to find now!
Making DIY Hairbow Display
Supplies you will need:
- Large felt shape
- 2 yards ribbon
- Hot Glue Gun and Sticks
- 6 inch length of ribbon
Instructions:
First thing you will need to do to make this DIY hairbow display is to cut your ribbon into three lengths.
I used a heart felt shape as my backer, so I needed to longer lengths on the outside of the heart and one shorter length in the middle. Check out the images if that doesn’t make sense.
For the second step you will need to hot glue the ribbon to the felt shape backer.
Now, you’re not going to glue the entire length of the ribbon onto the felt shape, but just to the top and bottom of the felt shape, with the remaining length of the ribbon hanging below.
This is important so that the clips from the ribbon will have something to hold onto.
Once all the ribbon is hot glued onto the felt shape backer it’s time to add a hanger to the back. All you need to do is flip the felt shape backer over and add it there so you can hang your pretty DIY hairbow display.
Just make a loop with a six-inch piece of ribbon and hot glue that together.
Next, hot glue that to the back of the felt shape.
That’s it! Your DIY Hairbow Display is ready to be hung, and hairbows added. What an easy and simple way to organize all your hairbows for your kids.
