This soap is truly easy to make and it ends up being the perfect craft for a Spider-Man themed party or can be given as party favors.

What You’ll Need to Make Spider-Man Soap:

How to Make Spider-Man Soap:

First, start by cutting your soap into square cubes. Doing this, allows the soap to melt properly.

Next, place about 1/3 of the soap pieces into a microwave safe dish or measuring cup and put into the microwave. Microwave for 30 seconds then stir and repeat until all of the soap is melted.

Now, add your black soap colorant. We used a bar soap colorant but the powder kind works too. Just add a little bit and keep adding until you reach a solid black color.

If using, add in a few drops of essential oil and stir well.

Now, carefully pour the melted soap into the mold cavities filling each one about 1/4 of the way full. We just want a thin layer for the black color. You’ll want to do this part for your kids so they don’t burn their hands since the soap will be hot.

Allow this layer to harden which will take about 2 hours. Once hardened, carefully remove the soap out by pushing on the backside of the mold and it will pop right out.

Now, take a knife or soap cutter and carefully cut out Spider-Man’s logo or a spider and then set these pieces into the bottom of the mold (1 in each).

Spray the top with the isopropyl alcohol, this helps remove bubbles that surface.

Now, melt the rest of the 2/3 of your soap using the step method above, add your essential oil and set aside for a few minutes. You want to allow about 5 minutes for the soap to cool before pouring over the black pieces of soap. If the soap is too hot, it will melt the black pieces of soap and it will be messy.

While the soap cools down, place a Spider-Man toy on top of the black design of soap and spray with the alcohol again.

Once your clear soap has cooled a bit, carefully pour it over the top of the toys filling each cavity to the top. Spray again with alcohol and allow to harden overnight.

Once hardened, you can pop these soaps out and use them right away. Remember to store any additional soaps in a covered container or wrapped in plastic wrap until ready for use.
