This snowflake craft for kids is perfect for most small kids. This would make a great kindergarten craft and is one of our many snowflake craft ideas for preschoolers. With adult supervision, I’d even say these tinfoil snowflakes would be great snowflake crafts for toddlers as well.

How To Make Easy Preschool Snowflake Craft

Step 1

After gathering supplies, invite children to begin tearing off small bits of aluminum foil.

Step 1- preschool snowflake craft- How to make a snowflake easy for kids by using blue paper, and using white glue and tinfoil to make a unique snowflake.
Every tinfoil snowflake will look different just like real snowflakes.

Step 2

Then begin gluing them down to the yardstick in the shape of a snowflake. Snowflakes have 6 equal sides, so you can sneak in a little science and math lesson as well!

  • Some kids may wish to begin with a small ball of foil in the middle of their snowflake, especially since all snowflakes begin with a small bit of dust in the middle (more science fun!).
  • The snowflakes look interesting when the shiny side of the foil is alternated with the dull side. 

Step 3

Make smaller snowflakes by dipping their finger into white paint to dot smaller snowflakes all around their large, shiny one.

There are other ways to make beautiful snowflakes too!
