I always let each piece of bread sit in the French toast mixture for a couple of minutes (on each side) so that it soaks up all of that flavorful goodness!

Step 6

Cook several minutes on each side until golden brown, making sure the center of the toast is cooked.

To prevent a sticky mess, test your pan or griddle with a small piece of the French toast to see if it will stick, before committing to placing full pieces of bread onto your cooking surface. Add nonstick spray or butter, if needed.

Step 7

Remove and serve immediately with toppings of your choice.

If you have egg allergies, or cannot have dairy products, you can still enjoy Easy Eggless Eggnog French Toast!

How to make egg-free & dairy-free eggnog french toast

I know… egg-free eggnog sounds impossible, but it’s not!

There are delicious plant-based, egg-free nogs in the stores ( by brands like Califia Farms , Elmhurst, or Almond Breeze).

Replace eggs with an egg replacement product, like Just Egg.

You can also make a flaxseed egg replacement! To make 1 egg, mix 1 tablespoon of flax seed meal and 3 tablespoons of very warm water. For this recipe, you will need to use 4 tablespoons of flaxseed meal and 12 tablespoons of warm water.

There’s no better way to start the day than with a bite of crispy, rich Eggnog French Toast with whipped cream!

There are plenty of vegan breads, but my favorite is BFree–gluten free, egg free, dairy free bread–and it is SO good. As a side note, they also have the BEST pita bread–and let me tell you, I have had to go years without it, with my food sensitivities, so I was super excited when I found it!

As always, keep an eye on the ingredient lists and disclaimers on the other packaged ingredients to double check for cross contamination, etc.

If you or one of your family members has a gluten allergy or sensitivity, you can easily tweak this recipe to make gluten free Eggnog French Toast!

Be sure to use gluten free bread, and double check that you are using gluten free vanilla extract (as well as all of the other packaged ingredients).

If you are cooking for someone who can’t have gluten be very careful to avoid cross contamination with any other foods you are cooking. It would be best to make the gluten free version first and safely store it away in the fridge before making the regular French toast, to be safe!

How Long Will Eggnog French Toast Last in the fridge?

Once your leftover Eggnog French Toast hits room temp (if you even have leftovers!) store it in airtight containers. Then, store in the fridge for 1-2 days.

Generally, I don’t have leftovers when I make this {giggle}, and I will only store this in my fridge for a day or less, to be extra careful since there is fried egg involved.

I do not recommend freezing leftovers.
